Huntington Beach Then & Now: Gospel Swamp Tent Revival

Huntington Beach Then & Now: Gospel Swamp Tent Revival

THEN // The Methodist Tent City as it looked from Circle Park, circa 1910. Each year, here in what was called the Gospel Swamp area, many people gathered to take part in tent revival events. The tabernacle seen right of center was located at what is now the intersection of Pecan Avenue and 12th Street.

NOW // Today from historic Circle Park, looking toward where the tent city would appear each year at the turn of the 20th century.
