Taste Of Huntington Beach Returns On April 24
The time has come to sample some of Huntington Beach's best restaurants and breweries, all in one day and all under one "roof." Sunday, April 24, marks the 16th Annual Taste of Huntington Beach, set to entertain from noon until 4 p.m. at the HB Sports Complex with one crucial mission—to raise funds for the HB Children's Library.
Of course, the outdoor event also helps promote local businesses, including 80 Huntington Beach and California eateries, breweries, and wineries. The list will continue to grow, and here's a sneak peak at who's plating: Slapfish, Ways & Means Oyster House, BLK Earth Sea Spirits, Imola, and Lemonade. And pouring: Four Sons Brewing, Riip Beer Company, Brewbakers, and Orange Coast Winery.
Live music by Chris Farmer Duo and AfterParty, a silent auction, and a raffle are also slated throughout the day. Food Network's Simon Majumdar will judge the fierce competition, and local author-history buff Chris Epting will MC.
Presented by the Friends of the Children's Library, a nonprofit organization supporting the Children's Department of the HB Public Library, the Taste raises funds for youth literacy with all event proceeds benefiting the youth library. Since 2002, more than $475,000 has been raised to benefit the organization.
