The time has come to sample some of Huntington Beach's best restaurants and breweries, all in one day and all under one "roof." Sunday, April 26, marks the 15th Annual Taste of Huntington Beach, set to entertain from noon until 4 p.m. at the HB Sports Complex with one crucial mission—to raise money for the HB Children's Library.

Of course, the outdoor event also helps promote local businesses, including 50 local eateries and 35 California breweries and wineries. Deli-licious, Reefs Edge GrillDuke'sRitter's Steam Kettle CookingRed TableOla Mexican Cuisine, and The Corner are just a few of the featured restaurants. Local breweries Beach City BreweryFour Sons BrewingBrewbakers—and many more—will be pouring all day long.

The full restaurant lineup can be perused here, along with the complete list of participating breweries, wineries, and non-alcoholic beverage purveyors here.

Live music by Party Jones, a silent auction, and a raffle are also slated throughout the day.

Presented by the Friends of the Children's Library, a nonprofit organization supporting the Children's Department of the Huntington Beach Public Library, the Taste raises funds for youth literacy with all event proceeds benefiting the youth library. The 2014 Taste pulled in a whopping $33,000. Here's to hoping we top it this year.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Huntington Beach Central Library (Children's Desk), Longboard Restaurant & Pub in downtown HB, the Taste of HB booth at Surf City Nights on April 21, and online. General admission costs $65 and grants guests unlimited tastes for the event's duration. A VIP option is priced at $85 and includes a private hors d'oeuvres and champagne reception from 11 a.m. to noon, a commemorative 2015 Taste wine glass, special giveaways, free valet parking, and a 20-minute early admission to the main tent. Designated driver tickets run $60 and $70. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the morning of the event starting at 10:30 a.m.

We recommend riding a bicycle to the Taste and pacing both the bevvies and the bites. However, for tasters driving to the event, a Park-A-Thon hosted by SVS Parking will donate $2 to the Children's Library for every car valet-parked. Each car also receives a free raffle ticket.
