Huntington Beach Then & Now: Dwight's Fine Food Drive-In

Then // The success of Dwight Clapp's beachside concession allowed the Clapps to open Dwight's Fine Food Drive-In, located at Pacific Coast Highway and Beach Boulevard. It was open from 1948-1955. While it became the hot spot after high school football games, it was also popular with celebrities. Dwight's son, Jack, who worked here, told me it was a favorite haunt of the actor Ray Milland.

Now // Today, the location is vacant and talk has stirred of potential development at the site.
