Grinderz To Celebrate 1-Year Anniversary With Burgers, Beers, And A Full-Day Community Bash
It's coming up on one year since Grinderz opened at Old World near the new Vans Off The Wall Skatepark, gifting Huntington Beach a combination of several things it so desperately needed: a small business run by locals catering to the skateboarding community and offering an affordable take on the all-American trio: "Burgers. Fries. Beers." This Sunday, February 8, the successful burger joint will celebrate its first year in business with a full day of fun. And we're honored to join them.
Kicking off at 11 a.m., the local business expo will bring together small businesses that collaborated with Grinderz over the past 12 months. Yours truly is one of them. We'll be setting up a table featuring our gear along with some related handmade-in-Huntington Beach goods from our online marketplace. Stop by and say hi.
The party rages on throughout the day with a "Sorry For Fingerboarding" contest beginning at noon, a Beach City Brewery and Four Sons Brewing tap takeover from 1-4 p.m., a cake cutting at 3 p.m., film screening at 5 p.m., and finally a skate family slideshow at 7 p.m.
Also, "We have a treat for all of you," promises Grinderz. We might know what it is—might—and maybe you do not want to miss it.
