Huntington Beach Then & Now: A 1940s Main & PCH

Then // Huntington Beach in the 1940s no longer had a train station at the foot of the pier on Main Street. A service station is visible to the extreme left, and the now-iconic oil wells have sprung up along the coast highway.

Now // Today, the derricks are gone, and an office complex has replaced the old Rexall drugstore in the right center of the "Now" photo, taken circa 2008.
