Then // Looking toward Main Street from 5th and Olive in 1988, it's evident that Huntington Beach's days as a funky little beach town were numbered when development kicked in. Soon, most of the older buildings would be gone, and retail stores and restaurants would fill in any precious open space.
Now // In just a few years, Huntington Beach all but reinvented itself as a tourist destination.
