Now in its 52nd year, the Huntington Harbour Boat Parade returns this weekend to light up local waters in a brilliant musical spectacular. And it's free.

As a thank you to harbour residents who deck out their homes for the annual Cruise of Lights, the parade invites luminescent "singing" vessels to sail the waters during the weekend before the cruise. With the theme "Music in Paradise," this year's parade takes place on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14. Boats start lining up at 4:30 p.m., and the parade sets sail at 5:15 p.m. sharp. It's free, open to the public, and entertains until roughly 8:30 p.m.

Prime viewing spots include Seabridge Park, the bridges and park on Trinidad Island, and Sunset Marina. Complete parade route map below.

The 52nd Annual Cruise of Lights sets sail December 17 and continues through December 23, raising funds for youth music programs throughout Orange County. Narrated 45-minute tours are hosted by the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee. Tickets cost between $10 and $17 and are available online.
