Then // Opened in 1961 by the Backlund family, the Villa Sweden smorgasbord restaurant at 552 Main Street was famous for its wholesome food at reasonable prices. Who didn't love the Swedish meatballs, dark limpa bread and Jell-O desserts?

Now // The restaurant closed down in the mid-1980s, became the Shore House Cafe as pictured here, and today has morphed again into an Italian restaurant. But thankfully, the original structure remains.
