Huntington Beach Dog Halloween Costume Contest Features Sharknado, E.T. And A Delicious Banana Split

Dog owners delighted in the festive torture of their four-legged companions on Saturday, October 26, during 5 Points Plaza's Huntington Beach Dog Costume Contest. Costume-clad canines filled the "barking lot" outside the mall, and a few honorable humans played dress-up as well.

All participating pooches looked adorable and amusing, but three lucky winners especially impressed the HB Culture and Kahoots Pet Store judges. Chuck the "Banana Split" won cutest costume, Red the "Sharknado" scored most original and Tino as "E.T." was awarded best overall/owner pet duo.

We can only imagine the horrors that await innocent pups tonight. Happy Halloween!
